Wingstop debuts chicken sandwich

The new Wingstop chicken sandwich is now available nationwide.

After being tested in over 60 Wingstop locations in the United States three months ago, the fast-food chain’s very own chicken sandwich has officially been added to the menu of more than 1600 Wingstop locations across the country on Tuesday, August 30th.

Wingstop Chicken Sandwich

Just like the fast-food chain’s popular chicken wings, the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich is also made to order. A first in the chicken sandwich war, the restaurant’s chicken sandwich features a crispy and juicy chicken breast that is hand sauced and tossed in any of the chain’s 11 flavors, including Hawaiian, Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, Mild, Original Hot, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Atomic, Mango Habanero, Cajun, Louisiana Rub, and Spicy Korean Q.

The sandwich is the full package, with a toasted bun and crunchy pickles, complementing whichever iconic flavor you choose. The flavor experience is also taken up a notch when you dunk it in a side of the chain’s iconic scratch-made ranch, which comes with every order of the sandwich.

The Chicken Sandwich Split

The chain is so confident with the quality of its chicken sandwich that it is encouraging fans to split from their current chicken sandwich and commit to finding a new favorite from the 12 bold flavors that the restaurant has to offer.

To make the split easier, the chain is giving away free chicken sandwiches to fans who will pen a breakup letter for their former go-to chicken sandwich on ChickenSandwichSplit.com. The first 100,000 fans to make their split official before September 5th will receive a code for a free chicken sandwich.

“The nationwide launch of the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich is an opportunity to bring new guests to the brand by proving our position as The Flavor Experts, and reward our existing fanbase by putting menu innovation on center stage,” Stacy Peterson, Chief Revenue and Technology Officer of the company, said in a statement. “The Wingstop Chicken Sandwich doesn’t just come in one flavor – fans can choose from our 12 bold, signature flavors. We’re so confident in the product that we’re incentivizing fans to split from their current chicken contender and find a new favorite chicken sandwich at Wingstop.”

How much is the Wingstop Chicken Sandwich?

An a la carte order of the sandwich with a dip costs $5.49. The sandwich is also available in a combo meal, which includes a dip, hand-cut fries, and a drink for $7.99.
